Does Rally Squirrel deserve his own baseball card? Topps put him on Skip Schumaker's 2012 card
(Compiled by Staff) — Remember in game four of the NLDS when the squirrel ran onto the field, right next to Skip Schumaker, even looking like it ran between his legs in one video? The "Rally Squirrel" became one of the symbols that the Cardinals 2011 World Series Championship will be remembered for. The Topps Baseball Card Company thought it would be a real collectors item to print a card with the Rally Squirrel on it, but rather than give him his own card, they took one of Skip Schumaker's. The odd thing is, the only part of Schumaker is his foot–the rest of the card is the squirrel.

You can imagine what he thought when told about the baseball card. B.J. Rains of FOXSportsMidwest.com spoke to Schumaker who called it "ridiculous" and said "it's literally just a squirrel that has nothing to do with me."
B.J. Rains talked to Schumaker later in the day on Tuesday and the ballplayer wanted to point out that he was not upset or mad, he was jokingly saying it was ridiculous to have a squirrel on your baseball card.
Schumaker had some other interesting comments regarding the baseball card and even mentioned Torty Craig, the other unofficial team "mascot." Cardinals fans had fun with Alan Craig's pet tortoise and the Rally Squirrel during the run for the World Series. What do you think, should the Squirrel have gotten his own card, or do you like him being on Schumaker's card?
